When you are discharged you will receive specific guidelines for your medication regimen, a date to remove the stitches and also for a follow-up appointment, which will be about two weeks after surgery. Follow-up will include an appointment with a nurse and a doctor in order to assess both the surgical wound and a medical review of your general health.
After discharge you will be asked to refer to your surgical coordinator in order to schedule a follow-up visit with your surgeon, when you will be given instructions regarding continued community and specialist checkups, and recommendations for further tests. In addition, we recommend post-surgical personalized coaching.
