Dr. Simone Fajer

Vascular surgeon
Dr. Fajer earned her bachelor's degree in microbiology at the University of Maryland, USA, and is also a graduate of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev Medical School, in Beer Sheva.

1994-2001: She completed her residency in general surgery at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa.

2001-2003: She completed her residency in vascular surgery at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa. 

Dr. Fajer specialized under the supervision of Prof. Eric Verahoven at the Medical Center of Groningen, The Netherlands and in Nuremberg, Germany. She studied laparoscopic interventions for atherosclerotic diseases with Prof. Martin Malina at the Skane Center Clinics in Malmö, Sweden.

2003-2006: Dr. Fajer served as a senior vascular surgeon and acting head of the Vascular Department at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa.

2007-8.2011: She served as a senior surgeon in charge of vascular surgery in the endovascular field at the Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa.

From 9.2011-to date: She has been serving as the Head of Vascular Surgery at the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.

2007-2011: Dr Fajer worked as a clinical instructor at the Technion School of Medicine in Haifa.

She worked as a lecturer at the Intensive Care Unit, School of Nursing at the Carmel Medical Center at the Beilinson Hospital Nursing School.

Dr Fajer is a Member of the Israeli Medical Association and the Association for Vascular Surgery. She is also a Member of the International Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
